  1. A Peek at Next Week in… 2ndGrade August 25-29 Reminders Teacher Biographies: Ms. Bryant: She has been teaching at Rivera for 5 years. She loves everything about elementary education. She will do everything she can do to make your child successful. Mr. Corridor: He has been teaching at Rivera for 15 years. He loves to cook and write. He believes in playing smart and working hard. Mrs. Mayfield: She has been teaching at Rivera for 7 years. She enjoys the outdoors. She was the first one to graduate college in her family. She believes no goal is out of reach. Ms. Peters: This will be her 1st year at Rivera, and 2nd year teaching. She is coming from a long line of teachers in her family. She believes every child has the ability to become successful. Mr. Rodriguez: He has been teaching at Rivera for 9 years. He likes to read, especially about History. He wants every student to work smart and to surpass any obstacle that comes their way. Mrs. Simmons: She has been teaching at Rivera for 2 years. She enjoys spending time with her family! She enjoys playing board games, being silly and having weekly Pizza family movie nights! She loves being a teacher and she is excited to get to know her new class! Please have your students get to school before 7:50am. Curriculum: We will be doing several back to school activities that will incorporate each subject for the first week of school. • No School on Monday- September 1st • 2nd Grade Parent Informational Meeting: Thursday- September 4th from 6:00-7:00pm Upcoming Events
