  1. Your employees spend hours working at their desks. By carefully planning the design of your control room, you can choose and position your furniture in a way that improves the efficiency and productivity of your team. You can also prevent injuries and even reduce eye strain. Here are some of the steps you should follow if you want to create a workplace environment that helps your employees stay healthy. Ensure Balance One way to keep your employees relaxed is to make sure their feet rest flat on the ground. Check how they sit. Are their thighs roughly parallel to the floor? That matters. If they’re feet are dangling off the floor, that will tire them out quicker, putting strain on their leg muscles.

  2. Check Table Height When your employees type, are their lower arms parallel to the floor? Pay careful attention to their wrists. Are those flat or angled slightly downwards? If they aren’t, that means they’re using a lot of energy when they type. Meaning, they’re fighting against more resistance. You’ll want to keep that in mind when you shop around for metal control room furniture to fit their needs. Consider the Chairs Turn to the chairs. Do they support the operator’s lower spine? Does the curve in the chair follow the natural curve of their lower back? That’s the case when it comes to ergonomic chairs, providing much-needed lumbar support, so your employees can work through mission-critical data for hours. If the chairs are stiff or anything but comfortable, that affects employee performance. They suffer more lumbar strain and lower back aches. That could lead to absences and lack of motivation at work. If you want to help your team deliver ever- rising levels of productivity, it’s important that you provide them with the best possible environment.

  3. Look for Armrests This might not seem all too important when you consider chairs. But arm rests also ensure employee comfort. They provide resting places for one’s arms and helps keep your team from having to hunch over their screens. The armrests reduce strain and allow them to stay working in comfort. With the right chair, your team can concentrate better on their work, allowing them to improve their performance and turn in excellent results. Screen Height The monitors should also be at or slightly below one’s eye level. That prevents neck strain and if the screen is tilted, it should be done to about 10 to 20 degrees. However, each user is free to fix the height of their screen, as long as it helps them work better. You only need to provide them with the right tools and equipment. Zero Glare Always check if there’s a glare in the monitor. That gets in the way of work. If you want your team to deliver consistent results, then you should eliminate anything that could steal their focus away from work, even for a minute. Glares do that. If your employees have to deal with glares quite often, that’s time that they aren’t putting into their work, so look into that. Thank You
