  3. The Key Resource: Staff • 4 colleges working together • but also to do our “own thing” • to bring all staff together (most are sessional) • make it work for them Key Challenges

  4. What did we want to achieve? We wanted to improve the learning experience of our learners by effectively using the new technologies. We are all pretty much learners in relation to the latter so this means us as well! Keep it simple, and let’s all come together to share experiences…

  5. What did we achieve? • We managed to work together • We brought our staff together in our own colleges & all together for Networking Days • Institutional, Consortium and LSDA Targets • All involved got what they wanted

  6. Well let’s hear from some of them!

  7. What did The Working Men’s College do? The SmartBoard was the key driver but this was tied to learning platforms, sharing resources and various technologies

  8. What did WMC achieve? • Over 70% of staff received e staff development • This included all managers • Clear evidence of improved teaching & Learning • Improved retention & achievement • 100s of shared resources

  9. The list goes on! • Development of Moodle VLE • Positive learner feedback • Better attendance Most of all • Cultural change in the college • A real transformation • And greater awareness of what is effective teaching & learning
