  2. CONTENT SUMMARY • Management in libraries and information centers. • ICT for libraries and information centers. • Information retrieval and searching. • Information architecture and digital libraries.

  3. WEAK POINTS OF THE PROGRAMMES • Inadequate time allocation to many program contents. • Accommodating participants separately.

  4. GOOD POINTS ABOUT THE PROGRAM • A well organized, coordinated, and balanced programme coupled with friendly staff i.e. - Time concious lecturers. - Lectures well blended with socio- cultural activities and library visits. • Provision of learning materials.

  5. NOT VERY INTERESTING COMPONENTS • Bibliographic description and citation. Very important in librarianship, but presented in a frightening way. Hence little knowledge gained.

  6. BEST CONTENTS • Libraries as carriers of scientific information. • ICT in libraries and information centers (library software packages like CDS ISIS, Greenstone Digital Libraries). • Visits to state of the art libraries. • Statistics to support decision making for information sci. and library management.

  7. RECOMMENDATION • To train staff on effective information retrieval, dissemination & management. • Make best use of Open source softwares like Greenstone and CDS ISIS to organise grey literature in the collection. • Enrich library website with links to open source journal databases e.g. Gutenberg, National Academy Press, Google books.
