PdM TBC Reset -- BLUF • Reset current fielded systems and field new systems to meet current BOIP • Unit retains all Hard-Disk Drives, including sleds • TBC Baseline software moves to Software Block 2, no additional training required for operators on CPOF or MCS • What’s Changed: • Fielding “TBC Clients” rather than separate CPOF & MCS workstations • Updated BOIP means different fielding quantities • New TBC Gateway for CPPs • New BCCS server suites (Ice Boxes) VM Ware

PdM TBC Reset • Current MCS Workstations and CPOF Workstations • TBC accepts at Home-station, minus HDD • TYAD FRA: deep clean; 500 GB HDD upgrade • TBC Configures as TBC Clients (3 x Monitors, Keyboard, Headset) minimum 45 days required for reset items • MCS Gateway • TBC accepts at Home-station, minus HHD, ASAP on return • TBC issues new Dell XFR D630 • Battle Command Common Services • Current BCCS Stacks replaced by new TBC Server Suites (Sun M4170) (VM Ware) • Unit retains current BCCS stacks until new TBC Server Suite NET / Fielding complete • During NET Unit / TBC FSRs migrate unit data from current BCCS to new Server Stacks • TBC issues new Server Suites and Data Management Consoles • Unit transfers old BCCS to TBC, less HDD

TBC RESET Training Course Description System Administrator Course (80hrs) not needed or required for BN or smaller elements Target Audience: BDE S6 and DIV/CORPS G6 Information System Administrator personnel - Signal Officers (25), IMO (53), Warrant Officers (251/254), NCO/Enl (25B) Description: Instruction includes setup, configuration and management of the Battle Command Common Services (BCCS) suite of servers in a virtual environment to include Battle Command Server (BCS), CPOF servers, and standards and management of Enterprise Services (ES) within the context of the ABCS v6.4 environment. This course also includes instruction on server hardware set-up, preventative and routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and application installation tasks. Sample Brigade RESET Training

NET Classroom Requirements • Size • TBC Sys Admin- support up to 5 Students and space for TBC fielded servers • Power Requirements • TBC Sys Admin: Must have minimum 2 outlets each with 30 Amps Power* • Required Unit Provided Equipment • Tables and chairs for 5 students, w/3 laptops each • Internal LAN to support 16 systems (Switch, LAN Cables) • Power strips for 16 systems • Not Required But Preferred Unit Provided Equipment and Personnel • Projector, Overhead Screen • Assumptions • Unit coordinates training location that meets adequate size and power requirements
