  3. What is the purpose of a wiki-site? • A Wiki-site is a collaboration of ideas that allow users to create, organize, and modify webpages. 2

  4. Popular features of a wiki-site • Wiki-sites are not owned by anyone. This allows content to instead be updated by people around the world. • There is not a set deadline or schedule with wiki-sites. They are updated as new material becomes available. • Wiki-sites often include relatable links to other wiki-sites that are relevant to topics being searched. 3

  5. Who would use a wiki-site? Online availability to anyone to access, share or publish information. Capable of reaching small / specific or very large audiences. Usability requiring very little specialized skills / training. Immediacy: instantaneous information and responses. Allows job seekers to establish their credentials, locate jobs, network and gather information.

Wiki-site: A form of social media • Wiki-sites are pages that users share in a social environment, for example on the web. • The main reason people care for this resource is because of it’s easy access. Wiki-sites collaborate facts expressed and gathered by users that provide simple information instantly. • Material collected is all in one place that makes adapting this resource into our lives very manageable. 5

Wiki-sites: Are they important? • Wiki-sites are platforms that enable acquired information to be shared with anyone. • Simple searches on the internet will provide access to comprehendible wiki-sites. • Personally, I have found wiki-sites very convenient and popular. They have been adapted as a common form of social media. Wiki-sites are becoming more and more respected and appropriate to gain informative concepts from. 6
