  1. Boom Elevated Work Platform Course in Sydney

  2. Introduction Under current regulations, a licence is required for high-risk work, which includes operating Boom Elevated Work Platform over 11 meters high. Booms less than 11 meters high and all scissor lifts do not require a licence. If you do not have a High Risk Work Licence class WP, you must enrol in a formal training course, delivered by a Registered Training Organisation. When you have achieved sufficient skills and competencies, you will be eligible to apply for a licence.

  3. Course Description After Successfully completing this course will allow you to operate any boom-type elevating work platform, including self-propelled, trailer mounted and truck mounted boom lifts with a height or reach of 11m. Our course covers all the requirements for obtaining a national High Risk Work Licence for operating EWP Boom Lift.

  4. Duration Fees and Charges The course fee is $720.00 per person. This fee includes the Safe Work NSW assessment fee and all course materials.  Total duration is 3 days. Training is over two full days and Safe Work NSW assessment is conducted on the third day.

  5. Learning Outcomes On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge to: Plan Operations: Hazard management and consultation Pre-operational Inspections: forklift and associated equipment Shift Loads: Lifting at varying heights and travelling through obstacles Conclude Operations: Parking, securing the equipment and following site specific procedures
