  3. 9-8-14 LET’S CELEBRATE WITH A BBQ! Tomorrow is our school BBQ, which starts at 5:30. It is also a celebration of our school’s 100th birthday! We’ll have food, art and music. Come join the fun!

  4. 9-8-14 Jazz band tryoutsThis Thursday and Friday8am in the band room We especially need a bass and guitar player; you should be able to read music. We will also need alto, tenor and bari saxophonists as well as a few trumpets.  Trombonists, pianists and drummers are welcome to try out, too. See you then! 

  5. PEAK INFO 9-8-14 Auditions for the Fall Drama, “Aladdin”-Monday, September 15, in the Big Gym, 3:45pm-6:00pm. Mark Steering is returning to direct and produce this musical. Fill out your PEAK forms and join the cast it will be fun!Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays, 3:45pm-6:00pm in the Big Gym.Ms. Moore will have the National Geographic Bee in her room on Tuesdays from 3:45pm-5:00pm, beginning Tuesday, September 16.Homework Club will begin Monday in the Library. The class will meet Monday thru Thursday from 3:45PM-6:00PM.Chess will meet on Tuesday. This is a year-long commitment. Date TBA.Red Cross Babysitting Class forms are on the PEAK Door. Only ten students to each class but there are three dates to choose from, so sign up soon.Auditions for the Dance Team Clinic will be out soon. Two former Sellwood students, Kylie Haney and Hannah Proctor, are returning from Cleveland to be the Dance Coaches. We appreciate their volunteering to guide us this year in the dance program. Looking for a parent chaperone! Practices will be Wednesdays and Fridays, 3:45pm-6:00pm, in the Big Gym.All prices for the PEAK Classes are in the PEAK Booklet.Ms.Price, PEAK Coordinator

  6. 9-8-14 BIKE RIDERS If you ride your bike, please be sure to lock it up using one of these metal u-shaped locks! These keep your bikes the safest when left in the racks.

  8. 9-5-14 Cleveland Cluster Volleyball • Tryouts are Monday, September 8, 6-8 @ SMS • No experience necessary • We have two teams (24 girls) • Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays, 6-8 • Games will be Saturday mornings • Keep your hoodie and t-shirt!

  9. 9-5-14 Cleveland Cluster Cross Country • First practice is Monday, September 8 • Practices are M and W or Th from 4-5 • Practices are mostly games and competitions • Meets are Wednesdays or Thursdays • Distance at meets are 2 or 3K • Keep a hoodie at the end of the season!
