Enhancing Problem-Based Learning through Virtual Patients at St. George’s University

Explore the innovative use of virtual patients in problem-based learning (PBL) at St. George's University of London. This project has transformed 18 traditional PBL cases into engaging online interactive scenarios, along with one immersive virtual world case, now accessible to 160 students. Our paramedic course incorporates diverse scenarios that simulate real-life patient interactions, enabling students to practice history-taking utilizing different equipment and tests. This enriched approach encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and effective decision-making.
