  1. USPS District Officers Calendar – 2010 - 2011 Provided by: The Leadership Development Committee

Instructions for use of this calendar: To add your District and Squadron Events: • Use the Normal View using View drop down. • Click on Text Box Icon on the tools bar. • Point at the day on the calendar where you want to add event. • Left Click to insert Text Box. • Change text size to 8 or 10 point. • Type in the event. • Adjust text box to position event where you want it. • Click outside the calendar to finish. • Rename and save revised calendar. NOTE: HQAB dues notice mailed on the first day of each month. Check web site monthly for non renewals that should be notified.

  3. Reminders: D/C – Send invitation and details to Chief Commander’s representative who will attend your Spring Conference. D/C – Give date / location of Fall Conference to NXO at Annual Meeting. DEO – Follow-up with Squadron commanders to ensure that nominations for SEO and Assit. SEO are submitted on form ED-80 prior to squadron elections. DAO – Remind all Squadrons to schedule Operations Training and Leadership Development Programs during the year.

  4. D/C – OD1 Forms Due Reminders: All – Attend USPS Annual Meeting DEO – Prepare program and awards ceremonies for spring conference All – Plan attendance and participation at Spring Conference DEO – Check ED-1’s with incoming squadron commanders D/C – Prepare agenda for Spring Conference DEO – Participate in teaching aide judging at annual meeting as assigned D/C – Verify that Squadrons have submitted OD-2 forms to HQ. D/Tr – Arrange for audit of district books prior to Spring conference DEO – Send report to Squadrons on USPS Annual Meeting

Reminders: All – Attend Spring Conference DEO – Conduct educational activities at Spring conference, Distribute All – Encourage your bridge and other members to attend spring meeting minutes to NEO, ANEO, SEO’s and appropriate RC’s conference DEO – Contact SEO’s about form HQ800 for summer classes D/C – Conduct Spring Conference D/SEC – When completed, send spring conference minutes to NXO, NEO DEO – Contact SEO’s about ED-27 forms for spring classes and N/Sec

  6. Reminders: DEO – Verify all ED-27’s for Spring Boating classes have been submitted online. DAO – Remind all Squadrons to schedule Operations Training and Leadership Development Programs during the year.

  7. Events: 22 – 28 – Safe Boating Week Reminders: D/C – Confirm that there is no conflict between your district conferences and national Governing Board and Spring Board of Directors / Operating Committee meetings.

  9. Reminders: All - Make reservations for the Governing Board Meeting D/C – Send invitation and details to chief commander’s representative who will attend your fall conference. DEO – Contact SEO’s about fall Boating classes

  10. Reminders: D/C – Forward recommendations to the chairman of the national Committee on Nominations for 2009 GB general members. D/C – Begin work on Merit Mark recommendations D/C – Give date/location of Spring Conference to NXO at fall GB DEO/SEO – Send suggestions for discussion at the GB meeting to the DEO handling the DEO meeting. DEO – Prepare educational program for fall conference. Order awards as necessary DEO – Assist D/TA chairman to plan for TA competition at fall conference. DAO – Remind Squadrons that deadline for submitting Request for Certificates for OTP and LDP is end November to count for 2010 awards

  11. Reminders:. All – Plan to attend Fall Conference DEO – Remind all SEO’s to send a teaching aid to annual meeting All – Report Governing Board actions of interest to all. DEO – Report to SEOs on GB meeting D/C – Be sure NOMCOM is working on slate for next year DEO – Prepare for educational activities at fall conference D/C – Check arrangements and prepare agenda for fall conference

  12. Reminders: All – Attend Fall Conference D/C – Remind squadron commanders to participate in Parade of DEO – Conduct educational activities at fall conference. Send minutes to Publications at USPS Annual Meeting NEO, ANEO, SEO’s, and appropriate R/C’s. D/C – Merit Mark Recommendations must be at Area Monitor by 15 Nov. DEO – Assist D/TA chairman to get best TA’s to Annual Meeting.

  13. Reminders: All – Make reservations for 2011 USPS Annual Meeting All – Finish Merit Marks and mail before November 15th DEO – Contact SEO’s about Spring Boating classes.

Reminders: D/C – Check that D/NomCom has sent ED-80 form to NEO for approval of next years DEO and AssitDEO DEO – Submit form HQ800 for spring classes DEO – Remind S/NomCom to submit ED-80 form for approval All – Make Reservations to attend Annual Meeting 31 Jan – 5 Feb 2011 DEO – Send suggestions for discussion at annual meeting to DEO handling the DEO meeting
