  1. Objective/Purpose: • Can we make Gloop using glue and laundry detergent?

  3. Materials: • Borax Food Coloring • Glue • Water • Funnel • Ziploc bags • TBSP • Sticks • Cups • Measuring cup or beaker

  4. Making Gloop Procedures:1. Have students empty the contents of their glue bottle into the freezer bag.

  5. 2.Mix 1 Tbsp of Borax to a cup of water. • 3. Pour into a container and label contents. Stir until completely dissolved.

  6. 4. Fill empty glue bottle 3/4 full of water, put on cap, shake, and then pour into freezer bag.4a. Food coloring - add no more than 6 drops into the solution.

  7. 5. With the freezer bag closed completely, students need to gently squeeze the bag until the contents are completely mixed.

  8. 6. Take clean glue bottle and fill 3/4 full of the borax solution. 7. Open freezer bag and pour borax solution in. 8. Quickly close freezer bag and begin working borax solution into the mixture.

  9. 9. Open the bag and feel the ingredients.10. Roll the substance in your hand and describe how it feels.11. Clean up lab.
