Rationale for an interim NCDF Co-ordinate the provision of career development services in the country Provide a platform for consultation and engagement with the relevant stakeholders Provide advice to government and other stakeholders on implementation It is an umbrella term under which Government and stakeholders operate. It consists of consultative and advisory structures acknowledged by government, public and private sectors as a coordinating voice for career development in the country to provide and promote coherent implementation of career development services.

NCDF Implementation Task Team ‘Interim’ NCDF • Framework for career guidance services in the country • TOR to extend its current project and helpline into the national system • HESA – NiSHE • DoL – centres &ESSA • Policy Framework and Policy • Other partners - avoid duplication of services and costs in the country • Leadership • Policy and implementation • Collaboration, cooperation and coordination • Communication • Quality • Consultation and engagement with stakeholders • Information reaches everyone • Foundation for the establishment of the NCDF

Career Development Government Forum Quarterly Meetings • All national government departments • Relevant statutory bodies and agencies: • Higher Education South Africa (HESA) • South African College Principals’ Organisation (SACPO) • South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) • Quality Councils (QCs) • Representative of Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) • Different spheres of government: • Heads of Education Department Committee (HEDCOM) representing provinces • South African Local Government Association (SALGA) representing local government.

National Consultative Forum Annual Meetings • All relevant stakeholders involved in career development in South Africa • Government departments; • Government entities and organisations; • Quality councils; • Non-governmental organisations; • Social partners; • National agencies; • Parent organisations; • Career development practitioners organisations; • Trainers of career development practitioners organisations; • Employers' organisations ; • Trade unions; • Youth organisations; • Provincial government; and • Local government.
