    3. How Is An Implementation Goal Different Than Previous Goals? Student performance is measured through district wide common assessments. Success is judged more on how we implement the series than just on student scores. Increased teacher reflection on how the resources from the series help them to meet the goal with fidelity and integrity.

Common Curriculum throughout Cedar Rapids Elementary Schools Earlier direct instruction of reading to kindergarten students Approaching, On, and Above level groups rather than Guided Reading levels Use of read aloud anthologies More comprehensive instruction and use of Practice Books (Grammar, Spelling, Writing) A week of review built into the schedule at the end of each unit On-line testing at the end of each unit
