  1. IA Intermediate Fellow has recently published his findings in ‘PLoSPathogens’ Reengineering Redox Sensitive GFP to Measure Mycothiol Redox Potential of Mycobacterium tuberculosis during Infection. Dr Amit Singh has developed a new methodology to precisely measure the redox state of mycobacteria during infection and chemotherapy. This work explains why it is difficult to completely eradicate Mycobacterium tuberculosis using current anti-tuberculosis (TB) drugs and opens up new avenues of research to reduce mycobacterial persistence and shorten long-term anti-TB drug therapy. PLoSPathog 10(1): e1003902. doi:10.1371/journal.ppat.1003902 Dr Amit Singh, ICGEB
