Authority • PACE WILL NOT and CANNOT be the only approval process available • Boards are legally required to maintain their authority • PACE is a means of delegating some of the workload associated with that authority • PACE is also a way of pooling resources with other boards—that’s why the FCLB is here!   16. Authority • PACE is a multi-layer program • Relies on participation by: • regulatory boards • ACC colleges • licensing board administrators • However, the FCLB Board of Directors (elected by regulatory boards) is ultimately responsible for determining PACE approval

  26. PACE Fees This is an FCLB service! No cost to member boards

PACE Fees Cost to approved providers: • One time application fee: $500 • Not-for-profit annual recognition fee: $1,000 • For-profit annual recognition fee: $10,000 • Attendee records fee: $1 per credit hour, per attendee—maximum $10 per attendee • Reconsideration fee: $500 • Appeal: $1,500 initial deposit (fee determined by costs)

  29. PACE Structure FCLB Board of Directors • Responsible for overall program • Grants final approval to Recognized Providers • Oversees appeals process • Ratifies decisions about policies and criteria from the PACE Committee
