  2. Objective In this lesson you will determine how emotions affects the passage through summarizing, paraphrasing, and personal experience.

  3. You already know You already know that a fable is a fictional story that features animals, mythical creatures, plants, inanimate objects or forces of nature which are given human qualities. Fables convey morals or lessons that affect everyday life.

  5. The Wolf and the Kid A Kid was perched up on the top of a house, and looking down saw a Wolf passing under him. Immediately he began to revile and attack his enemy. "Murderer and thief," he cried, "what do you here near honest folks' houses? How dare you make an appearance where your vile deeds are known?" "Curse away, my young friend," said the Wolf. "It is easy to be brave from a safe distance." Summarize the story from the wolf’s perspective. Paraphrase (your own words) what is meant by “It is easy to be brave from a safe distance.” Determine advice you could give someone that felt like he or she were in a no-win situation.
