Current Weather Situation • Ideal weather is expected thru the weekend for the rivers to return to normal • Thru tomorrow morning some light showers expected across IA/IL/IN morning but rain free elsewhere • Thursday: Scattered showers (.25” or less) across MN/WI • Friday: Light rain (.25”) drops south across IA/IL/MO • Saturday: Rain across WI (up to .5”) but mostly dry elsewhere • Sunday: Widely scattered showers across the region with light amounts Current as of 2:00pm EDT June 18, 2008

River Cresting Projections • Cedar Rapids, IA – Cedar River • River continues to recede from June 13 crest of 31.1’ • River still at moderate flood stage • Iowa City, IA – Iowa River • River continues to recede from its June 15 crest of 31.6’ • River is still above the 1993 record stage of 28.5’ • Des Moines, IA – Des Moines River • River continues to recede from its June 13 crest of 35.3’ • River still at moderate flood stage • Rock Island, IL- Mississippi River • River continues to recede from its June 17 crest of 21.49’ • River still at moderate flood stage Current as of 2:00pm EDT June 18, 2008

River Cresting Projections • Quincy, IL - Mississippi River • Projected to crest Thursday, June 19 at 32.2’ (record) • Record crest 32.1’ July 13, 1993 • Hannibal, MO – Mississippi River • Projected to crest Friday, June 20 at 31.8’ (record) • Record crest 31.8’ July 15, 1993 • St Louis, MO – Mississippi River • Projected to crest Monday evening June 23 at 40.2’ • Major flood stage: 40.0’ • Record crest 49.6’ Aug 1, 1993 • Chester, IL– Mississippi River • Projected to crest Wednesday June 25 at 41.9’ (long crest is expected) • Record crest 49.74’ Aug 7, 1993 • Cape Girardeau, MO– Mississippi River • River will continue to rise thru the weekend (43.3’ by Monday morning) • Record crest 48.49’ Aug 8, 1993 Current as of 2:00pm EDT June 18, 2008
