3. Can Man Triumph over Nature (by Yishire ) As the old saying goes, ”Man can conquer nature”. Indeed ,our ancestors had been fighting against nature since the stone age. They made skins of animals into clothing to cover themselves from cold weather, set fire for warmness and protect themselves from wild animals. They hardly survived from the execrable environment. And nowadays, we have Three Gorges Project to avoid floods, and finish Qinghai—Tibet Railway to improve the poor situation of transportation. Nevertheless, we can’t escape suffering from disasters, such as tsunami, SARS, snowstorm, earthquake and so on, because nature is so powerful and these are unavoidable. Maybe we can’t make a conclusion whether man can or can’t triumph over nature. But we should learn from these two sides that something nature is inevitable. What we can do is united human beings and try to decrease the harm to an acceptable degree.

4. Can Man Triumph over Nature (by Sweet) Similar to most people’s opinions, I don’t think it is an easy-answered question that man can or cannot triumph our nature. To some people, they’re for it. Considered to have been developing for a long time ,human is sure to reach the point to triumph over nature. For example, human create large quantities of biochemical weapons which can destroy the earth several times. On the other hand, some people are against it. From their points of view, there is no doubt that nature comes first and won’t be conquered by human. They insist that human is just a creature during the development of the nature and the disasters human suffer may be the best examples to support their views. As far as I’m concerned, there is no ending for this debate and even no need to put a conclusion to it. As I see it ,the relationship between nature and human is like mother and child. There is no denying that mother and child should stay together peacefully as well as harmoniously .As a result ,what we human should do most is to protect the nature and make best of it for the developments. Only in this way can we gain a lasting development on the balance of human and nature.

5. Can Man Triumph Over Nature( by Joy) When it comes to this question, well, different people may have different opinions. Some people hold the view that we human beings can conquer nature. As the old saying goes,” where there is a will, there is a way”. Throughout the history, we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true. Climbing the Everest which is the highest mountain in the world, traveling to Antarctica, or having a trip to the moon. The Great Wall and the Pyramids also indicate the huge power of humans. Meanwhile, however, there’re some people who believe in the opposite. Although, the technology and science have been developing rapidly, there’s still something in the world beyond our ability, SARS, birdflu, AIDS, and some other kinds of diseases are threatening our lives. What’s worse, more and more disasters such as tsunami, flood, snowstorm ,earthquake happen more frequently, causing immeasurable loss to humans. So, as you can see, man can not triumph over nature. And bright future just depends on a harmonious relationship with nature.

8. Can Man Triumph Over Nature There is no consensus of opinions among people as to the view of man can or cannot triumph over nature. Some people hold the view that we human beings can triumph over nature. Just as the old saying goes,“ Where there is a will, there is a way.” Looking back to the history, we can see many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true. They can think of no better illustration of the view that, in the past ,our ancestors made skins of animals into clothing to protect themselves from cold weather, set fire for warmness. On the other hand, back to now, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway was finished to improve the poor situation of transportation there. Meanwhile, however, there’re some people who believe in the opposite side. Facts are really very enough. The green house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as the oriental pearl-Shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being

9. drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some animals including human beings; the phenomena of EL Nino and La Nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at a surprising speed, causing Seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? We are not the masters of nature. Facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. Any action that destroy nature will meet only with the revenge from her. So as you can see, there is no ending for this debate. My personal experience leads me to conclude that Preserving nature is not only preserving our home, but the civilization of human community as well. So we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are looking for the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win!

17. Can Man Triumph over Nature? (modelessay) When people talk of man triumphing over nature, many things come to mind. One thinks of successes in medicine in the fight against disease, such as the invention of antibiotics and the promise held out by advances in biogenetic a broader scale, one thinks of man’s success in harnessing new forms of energy from steam power through oil to nuclear power. Yet, nature has often hit back in unexpected ways to these attempts to tame it. New forms of disease that are resistant to antibiotics are constantly developing. Burning fossil fuels has led to fears of global warming; while nuclear power has produced dangerous waste that will remain a hazard for generations to come. However, perhaps to talk of man triumphing over nature is the wrong way to look at the matter. We need to find ways to work with nature rather than forever fighting against it.
