Including Am. 1 - 4 • UL 60950, 3rd Ed. (published) -Based on IEC 60950, 3rd Ed. • UL 60950-1 (publication anticipated April 2003) - Will be based on IEC 60950-1 - This will be General Requirements for Safety, particular requirements for specific products expected to be published as IEC 60950-2-XX standards.

Underwriters Laboratories UL Certification for Information Technology and Communications Equipment • Dates of Interest • April 1, 2000: All new ITE products must comply with the requirements of UL 1950 Third Edition. • April 1, 2003: All new products must comply with the requirements of UL 60950 Third Edition. • April 1, 2005: All products (new and previously certified) must comply with the requirements of UL 60950 Third Edition.

  3. Underwriters Laboratories IEC Technical Committee Changes TC 74 (IEC 60950 ITC group) and TC 92 (IEC 60065 Consumer A/V group) will merge into TC 108 and develop an IEC Safety Standard that covers both groups current product scopes.
