  11. Resource MIX The purpose of Resource MIX is to find a right combination in terms of cost, core competence, short- and long-term business needs. Service delivery based on customer intimacy (Own resources: Local (Perm / Temp employees; LTAs; Outsourced emp.) Resource mix C U S T O M E R Service delivery based on centralization (Borrowed resources from GSDC, PDU, for example STA) Service delivery based on sourcing (External resources: ASP; SP; ARP; Consultants) Right resource mix could be significant competitive advantage – in terms of cost, headcount etc;

  12. Customer is the asset for any organization because every organization focuses on customer satisfaction. If you want to satisfy the customer then you will have to do the SWOT analysis for project & process. The analysis identifies the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats of a project. SWOT Analysis of Resource Management

  13. Planned Interface Opportunities to resources Tools User Overall process break down structure Planning perspective, Quick resource alloc. More is easy to use More to HRMS Interface is being planned Connection Business opportunities and resources Share resources globally Common database high utilization Knowledge about tools that have been already used. MORE is a start, and ties opportunities to resources Strenghts Global visibility of resources Competence needs clearly defined Resource management planning/allocation Only way to know available resources More accuracy in planning

  14. Tools Processes Deployments Different tools MORE, SAP/HR Too many tools to maintain More than one system Unclear process at lower level Very rigid. No room for flexibility Resource mgmt. Not yet implem- ented in SAP/PS 3 different tools to handel what could be handled in one tool Not integrated system resulting in to many systems and a lot of manual work Customer require- ments. Can I work at competitors? The resource mgmt. process must be defined Mixed message. Should we work in or out of SAP? Or in more? Weakness Risk for another tool, another Interface if not using HRMS in SAP Interfaces No interface is built No interfaces means manual work Resource management planning/allocation Maintenance To keep SPE up- dated with new technic and releases Information in MORE may not be regulalry updated Information in More may not be regulalry updated MORE to HRMS interface is not secured in roadmap Not integrated between SAP (HRMS) and MORE

  15. Tool Process Deployment When having a good tool, people will see the benefits from that (e.g. Reporting from PS) Opportunity to align processes and tools since nothing is really decided yet – or ? Looking further than our current way of working. There are many more opportu- nities than we know of now. How to do global resource follow-up with different systems, tools, etc. Big and unique database for employees Global international jobs Opportunities Support from higher management Globally reproducible way of working Better overview regarding resources workcenters, costs. Connect resource planning to project planning Resource management planning/allocation Increased efficiency

  16. Interfaces Tools Processes Deployment No clear scope of RM only BUGS or all resources? Job security in home organiz. if deployed to another Project Competence level Organizational resistance Threats Another change Another tool Another process Another directive Where is the process? Legal aspects con- sidered? (Privat or personal data) Resource management planning/allocation Mixed messages and double work. Leading to non-acceptance Process not implemented toget- her with system. Diff. tools (MORE, SIO..) could be a risk for PS remod. project
