Taking the Lords Supper give us power over temptations that could become sin in our life • KJV 1 Corinthians 10:13-17 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. • We all have temptations to sin, but remembering what Jesus did on the cross through His life, death, burial & resurrection always give us a way out. • Taking the Lords Supper brings this reality into our life every time we partake. • Remember a dead man cannot sin. • KJV Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. A Time and Place to Partake of the Lords Supper • KJV 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. 21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. 22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. • The Corinthians were in disorder by having an eating and drinking party and calling it the Lord’s Supper. Paul acknowledged their un-pure attitudes and behavior concerning the Lords Supper and corrected it • Today you will learn the correct attitude and order to partake the Lord’s Supper • It is not a ritual or tradition. Don’t be afraid to Partake of the Lord’s Supper • KJV 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.130 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. • Unworthily – is an adverb that modifies the verbs “eating & drinking”, not describing the person or a persons sin. • If our attitude is; “it is just a piece of bread, then that is what it will be.” • Not discerning the Lords Body – not understanding what Jesus did in His body as He was beaten with 39 stripes, nails piercing His hands and feet. And the spear going into His side. • When we fail to discern (to see, to recognize, understand) His Body, we are actually despising His work on the cross • Many are weak, sick & die when we do not understand the importance of The Lord’s Supper • It is by faith that we discern the power of the Lords broken body for our healing. • Foreshadow of sacrifice compared to Jesus Only Believe Ministries -David & Melda Bartholdi

Misconceptions about Examine Ourselves • KJV 1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. • Misconceptions • Do I have sin in my life and must confess them all before partaking? • Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. • Judgement and wrath will come upon me if I take the Lords Supper with sin in my life • Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: • Unworthily – is an adverb that modifies the verbs “eating & drinking”, not describing the person or a persons sin. Results of Taking the Lords Supper in a Worthy Manner • Offsets the process of aging and walking in divine health • Removes sin consciousness and replaces it with SON consciousness • In the mist of intense spiritual attack, we will experience victory when we believe what Jesus did on the cross is greater than any attack of the devil. • The simple act of eating by Adam brought disease and death, so God ordained the simple act of partaking a “crumb” will bring health, wholeness and long life Only Believe Ministries -David & Melda Bartholdi

Partaking of the Lords SupperReleasing Faith for our Forgiveness and Healing • KJV 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. • The Bread or the Lords Body • His body was beaten with 39 stripes, nails piercing His hands and feet. And the spear going into His side for healing in my body • Jesus body took my pains so I do not bear pains in my body • Jesus bore our sins on His body, so sin will not destroy my body • Jesus bore or carried our sickness on His body so we do not bear sickness • Jesus was chastised for our peace – Completeness, Soundness, Welfare & Peace Only Believe Ministries -David & Melda Bartholdi

Partaking of the Lords SupperReleasing Faith for our Forgiveness and Healingcontinued • The New Testament in Jesus Blood • Forgiveness of all Sin, Past Present and Future. • Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: • We now have God’s divine nature in us. • KJV 2 Peter 1:3-4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. • We have been made WORTHY by the washing of Jesus Blood • We are not worthy without being Born-again.   13. Conclusion • God has made it truly easy for HIS people to walk in forgiveness, divine health and prosperity. We just need to come to HIS table, put your faith in HIS broken body for our healing and partake. It is so simple, yet so powerful. • When we remember Jesus death, we are also proclaiming to the principalities and powers of darkness that they have been disarmed because HE has triumphed over them. • 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers. • As we renew our mind to the truths of God’s word and we say what God says, we will have what God’s word says we have • Forgiveness and Healing go hand in hand.
