  1. Cyrano timeline

  2. Act I • Introduce Christian and we see him and Roxane have their frozen love moment • Christian finds out by a pickpocket that his friend is to be killed • Cyrano stops the play • Cyrano fights the friend of the Guiche because he was making fun of Cyrano’s nose • Cyrano does not accept a food handout from random woman or no one • Best friend LeBret talks him into confessing his love to Roxane • Roxane’s maid arrives and hands Cyrano a note • Cyrano fights the 100 men

Act II • Cyrano asks Rageaneau if he can borrow the bakery • Baker recites poems to his poet buddies • Cyrano writes a poem for Roxane • Roxane arrives and admits she loves someone • Cyrano learns she loves Christian and not him • Cyrano goes back to the Barracks • The Guiche asks Cyrano if he wants to publish a play • Cyrano tells a tale to his soldiers • Christian makes fun of his nose and they almost fight • Cyrano keeps his promise to Roxane and befriends Christian—they decide to work together.

  4. Act III • Guiche visits Roxane • Roxane manipulates the Guiche into keeping Cyrano and his cadets from going to war by agreeing to sleep with him • Christian tries to talk to Roxane without Cyrano’s help by constantly telling her he loves her—makes a fool of himself • Roxane gets mad and sends him away • Cyrano helps Christian by feeding him words and then by taking his hat and speaking himself. • Christian and Roxane kiss • A priest arrives to make arrangements for the Guiche but ends up marrying Roxane and Christian • Cyrano stalls the Guiche • Guiche finds out what happens and sends Cyrano and Christian to war.

  5. Act IV—at the battlefield • Soldiers are tired & hungry • Cyrano is returning from crossing over the enemies lines from mailing his daily letters to Roxane • Guiche arrives and tells soldiers they will be fighting to the death • Christian wants to write a last letter but learns Cyrano already wrote one—it is tear stained and Christian has a smart moment • Roxane arrives and confesses she would love him even if he was ugly • Christian tries to convince Cyrano to tell the truth and runs out into the battlefield • Christian is mortally wounded and dies in Roxane’s arms as Cyrano lies to her and tells her about Christian’s last letter

  6. Act V • 15 yrs. later at a Convent (nuns) • A nun & LeBret are talking about Cyrano’s weekly on-time visits and brings Roxane joy; Leaves to check on Cyrano, has been injured on the street by wood. • Roxane waiting and Cyrano sneaks in late • Cyrano telling the gossip and asks to read the letter • Cyrano recites the letter without reading it and Roxane has a smart moment • Friends burst in and reveal Cyrano is mortally wounded • Cyrano becomes hallucinated and is haunted by his memories • Cyrano dies in Roxane’s arms
