SysMO-DB2: The Next Generation in Systems Biology Data Exchange Stuart Owen, Olga Krebs, Katy Wolstencroft, Finn Bacall, Franco du Preez, Jacky Snoep, Wolfgang Mueller and Carole Goble The SysMO SEEK is a web-based environment for scientists to share and exchange Systems Biology data and models. It has been deployed for the SysMO consortium and other initiatives are adopting the same approach. Here we describe the latest features and new developments SEEK Usage Sharing and exchange Preserving and archiving Aggregating and linking Publishing and disseminating SEEK Contents 830 data files 23 models 116 SOPs 196 ISA descriptions 90 publications linked SysMO JERM The “Just Enough Results Model” is a minimum information model that describes the relationships between SysMO assets (i.e. experiments, data, models and publications). It allows users to discover, exchange and interpret different types of data and results files across SysMO. The JERM links SysMO data to MIBBI standards and community ontologies. New Tools and Features RightField, for embedding ontology term selection into spreadsheets, enabling JERM compliant annotation of data. http://www.rightfield.org.uk JWS OneStop, the one-stop-shop for designing, editing and simulating models in SBML and annotating models to the MIRIAM standard Graphical Interface of experiment structures, allowing researchers to see which data/models are linked to which assays and studies. Web Service interface (REST) for easier federation between local SEEK instances and the SysMO-SEEK SysMO SEEK : The Resource Gateway SysMO-DB users can access other resources through the SEEK interface PubMed: Enables the registration of publications for association with data files and models and automatic linking to SysMO authors JWS Online:Allows the running of SBML model simulations through the SEEK BioPortal: Enables ontology term lookup, search and visualisation of data and concepts Contact us and find out more at: http://www.sysmo-db.org/
