  2. CONSECRATION LEADER Glory be to you, almighty God, our heavenly Father, because in your great mercy you delivered up your only son Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption. He was offered once for all time, and made there a single, perfect and sufficient sacrificeand atonement for the sins of the whole world. He was wounded for our iniquities; the punishment for our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray, but you have laid on him the sin of us all.

  3. CONSECRATION ALL Worthy is the Lamb who was slain; To him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be the praise, and honour, the glory, and the power, forever and ever. Amen.

  4. CONSECRATION LEADER We also give you thanks, merciful Father, that our Lord Jesus instituted this sacrament and commanded us to continue it until his coming again. He, in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread, and having given thanks, broke it and said: `Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup and said:`This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.’

  5. CONSECRATION ALL Christ, we proclaim your death, we confess your resurrection, we look for your coming. Glory be to you. Amen.
