Stability • Standing fast in the Lord (Phil. 4:1) • An ever present challenge {from the world} • Do not love the world (1 Jn. 2:15-17) • Do not conform to the world (Rom. 12:1-2) • Keep unspotted from the world (James 1:27) • Do not become friends with the world (James 4:4)
Other destabilizing forces • False doctrines (Eph. 4:14) • Subtle devices (2 Cor. 2:11) • Disappointment leading to discouragement (Gal. 6:9) • Stability is produced through united brethren (Phil. 1:27)
Rejoicing • In the Lord (Phil. 4:4) • Optimistic, full of hope, full of joy (Rom. 15:13) • Full of joy (1 Jn. 1:4)
Always Praying • For everything (Phil. 4:6-7) • Continue in prayer (Rom. 12:12; 1 Thess. 5:17)
