  4. Proclaim Well. If you hear yourself, you are not too loud. Proclaim well enough that everyone wants to put down the books and listen.

  5. There is an electric eye on the ambo. Certain dark knit fabrics will keep the microphone from turning on. Some knit fabrics keep the eye from seeing a reflected light and do not turn the microphone on. If you stand too close and your clothes are against the eye it too will not turn on. Bu sure to stand in the center of the Ambo. A little movement will usually turn the microphone on if there is an issue. If not, simply drop a hand and move it in front of the eye and it will turn on.
