  6. Luncheon and Panel Discussion:Centennial Award for Excellence in Teaching Winners Susan Marine (2008), Debra D. Dolliver (2010) and Lisa N. Gentile (2011)

  9. Budget and Finance Committee • Motion: We move that the annual dues for Student Members be raised by $5 from the current $15 to $20. The new breakdown of the dues will be $8 for operating expenses and $7 for convention and $5 for rebates. • Passed: Unanimously

  10. Budget and Finance Committee • Motion: We move that annual dues for Regular Members be raised by $5 from the current $50 to $55. New breakdown of dues will be $21.00 for operating expenses, $21 convention and $13 for rebates. • Passed: Unanimously

  11. Membership Communications Committee • Motion : We move that Iota Sigma Pi pays for email accounts for National Council officers and investigate email accounts within the hosting domain. • Passed: Unanimously

  12. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: The committee moves to continue the mini-grant program to provide up to $250 to a maximum of 10 chapters per triennium with only one grant awarded per chapter per triennium. The mini-grant can be used to support special projects, programs, or events of the chapter (excluding routine chapter events). • Passed: Unanimously

  13. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: We move to continue with the Triennial Award for Outstanding Chapter funded in the amount of $250. • Passed: Unanimously

  14. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: We move to continue to support the relocation, installation, or reactivation of chapters of Iota Sigma Pi with a $250 seed grant. • Passed: Unanimously

  15. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: The National Editor will feature a chapter in at least one issue per year of theIotan, with outreach and activities within that organization highlighted. • Passed: 25 votes in favor, 1 opposed, 1 abstention

  16. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: We move the National Vice President will send out an annual roster with e-mail addresses of current chapter officers to all other current chapter officers to encourage collaboration amongst chapters. • Passed: 20 votes in favor, 1 opposed, 6 abstention

  17. Chapter Program Development Committee • Motion: We move the National Historian write up biographies of the women who have endowed named awards and the Webmaster will post these biographies on the National Website. • Passed: Unanimously

  18. Long Range Planning Committee • Motion: We move that any member who recruits 2 or more new members in the same year will be recognized in the Iotan. • Passed: 13 votes in favor, 7 opposed; 6 abstentions

  19. Long Range Planning Committee • Motion: We move that the term limits for Webmaster and Coordinator of Initiates and Supplies be limited to 2 successive terms in the same office. In the Constitution and Bylaws, Article VI Section 6 Limits of Terms of Office the lines for Webmaster and Coordinator of Initiates and Supplies be deleted. • Passed: 13 votes in favor, 9 opposed, 2 abstention

  20. Awards Committee • Motion: To change the description of the Centennial Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching eligibility requirement in the Rules and Regulations (Part G, Article V, section 2): "The Award is given to a female educator for excellence in teaching chemistry or a chemistry-related discipline at an institution of higher learning who either (a) holds a teaching position at an institution that does not have a graduate program in her department or (b) holds a teaching position that is for teaching undergraduates > 75% of her time at an institution that does have a graduate program in her department.“ • Passed:Unanimously
