  3. Body Eyesight is 8x better than an average human. Clear eyelids Can see things forward and sideways. Wingspan of about 6 feet. Sharp hooked beaks 4 toes 3 facing forward 1 facing backwards. Claws are called talons

  4. Species They’re classification is aves (birds) 59 different types of eagles 15 of the 59 types of eagles weigh less than 15 pounds Cousins with the hawk. Considered royal in the world of birds

  5. Life Lives 20 to 30 years in the wild Lays 2-3 eggs Incubation time is 31 to 40 days Lives about 4 years in the nest Golden eagle egg

  6. Food Excellent predators Carnivores They all eat small rodents except the Bald Eagle. The Bald Eagle eats fish. Top of the bird food chain.

  7. Habitat Found everywhere except New Zealand, Australia, and Antarctica. Lives in tall trees. Eagle nests are called aeries. Only Golden and Bald eagles live in the U.S.A Eagles use the same nest year after year.

  8. Fun Facts The Bald eagle has approximately 5,000 feathers. Young eagles are called eaglets.
