A Data Sharing Application for Data Dissemination

This document outlines the objectives and plans for Eurostat's Common Dissemination Platform (CDP) to improve data dissemination among Member States. Key goals include reducing reporting burden, enhancing the timeliness and quality of statistical data, and exploring innovative data transmission methods. Pilot initiatives involving select National Statistical Institutes (NSIs) from Germany, France, Sweden, and the UK will utilize SDMX standards under the new initiative "SDMX Open Data Interchange" (SODI). An expert meeting with participating Member States is scheduled to discuss the implementation environment, seasonal adjustments, and data formats.
