  4. Surveys have found that parental support is 8 times more important in determining a child’s academic success than social class • To support, encourage and show interest • To work in partnership with your child and the school to be sure they achieve the best results possible

  7. YEAR 10 CALENDAR – Autumn Term C/A = Controlled Assessment (usually takes place in lessons) SEPTEMBER 2011 OCTOBER 2011 NB: English Oral Assessments will take place first half of Autumn Term NOVEMBER 2011 DECEMBER 2011

  8. YEAR 10 CALENDAR – Spring Term C/A = Controlled Assessment (usually takes place in lessons) JANUARY 2012 FEBRUARY 2012 APRIL 2012 MARCH 2012 NB: English Oral Assessments will take place before end of first half Spring Term

  9. YEAR 10 CALENDAR – Summer Term C/A = Controlled Assessment (usually takes place in lessons) JUNE 2012 MAY 2012 JULY 2012 PROVISIONAL RETURN TO SCHOOL DATE: Wednesday 5th September 2012 (to be confirmed)
