  3. Joshua sends out the spies Follows the example of Moses But… not everything. Numbers 13:1-2; Joshua 1:7-8 Joshua used God’s resources The training, the men, and the wisdom that has gained He had a strategy and a plan Go,…, specially Jericho.

  5. RAHAB She is mentioned 8 times Josh. 2:1, 3; 6:17, 23, 25; Matt. 1:5; Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25 She was a Prostitute In 6 occasions, her name is found with a specific descriptive noun. It is “harlot.” She protected the spies Joshua 2:2-7

  6. RAHAB DECLARATION of FAITH She believed in God and His power Joshua 2:9-11 She was not only concerned on her well-being Joshua 2:12-13 She wanted to be part of god’s people Joshua 2:13

  7. Our faith is much more than that which saves us. Our faith gives us the foundation to view the rest of our life. It pushes us to action. It gives us the strength to keep going. It pushes us to be more conformed to the likeness of the savior. And in Rahab, we are given a picture of what faith is, and what faith can do.

  8. The SPIES’ ANSWER Confirm her faith ...when the Lord gives the Land.. (1:14) A strategy to save her ...tie this scarlet… ...stay at home with all your parents... Back to Joshua Building the Faith of God’s people

  9. And when we come forward, let’s remember to confess always that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour. We are committing our lives to follow His mission, wherever it sends us, recognizing that it might not be where we want to go. That’s why it’s called FAITH!
