  2. 802.11 TGg Status • First session opened 6:30 pm, discussion of agenda until • Agenda approved at 7:30 pm with only one motion. • Presentations began at 7:40 pm • Recessed at 8:00 pm since only one person was ready to present. James P. K. Gilb, Mobilian

Presentations • 1 day of non-proposal proposals • Can’t have proposals, yet in anticipation of the train wreck, there have been many compromises proposed • CCK-OFDM • CCK+OFDM • PBCC + CCK-OFDM • DQPSK with 10/11 Reed-Solomon coding • Vote on closed balloting • Failed James P. K. Gilb, Mobilian

Confirmation of CCK-OFDM • Vote at 8:30 am (closed door, written ballot) • 4 months after down selection • Failed 83/67/4 (55% approve, 75% required) • Compromises suggested • Straw polls on many options • Discussed withdrawing the PAR • Vote Thursday at 4:15 pm on compromise • CCK + OFDM + PBCC-22 • Both OFDM and PBCC-22 are optional (and incompatible) • Passed 116/36/0 (76.3%/23.7%) James P.
