  14. DONATION MANAGEMENT Collecting and Processing Coins: Explain to teachers that their classroom boxes will be collected once or twice a week and let them know the schedule and how it will work. You can either ask teachers to bring their funds in a zip lock bag labeled with their classroom name – OR – have student council bring the boxes, transfer them into zip lock bags, label the bags and return the classroom boxes to the classrooms. If doing a classroom competition, keep classroom change amounts separate and labeled. Deposit coins at least once a week at a local NON SAFEWAY Coinstar kiosk. You can find your closest kiosk here: https://www.coinstar.com/findakiosk Coins can be heavy so ask for help! By depositing each classrooms’ coins into coinstar separately the machine will print out a receipt with the amount for each class. No need to take time to count and roll coins! Be sure to share class that has raised the most each week to spur competition! At the end of your campaign, mail your Coinstar receipts, checks, or money orders to your local chapter along with your Wrap Up Report. Pennies and more: Donations can be made via: Coins, Cash, Checks, Online (credit card) and Matching Gifts by an employer. FIND WHAT YOU NEED ONLINE: STUDENTSERIES.ORG/RESOURCES
