Published Report in July Titled: Technique of Sample Catching Charlie Stuckey, Chairman, assisted by Jack O. Colle, James “Jack” M. Crosbie, & C.H. Strachn, Jr. April 1954 – 210 Members Designated Charter Members of the Section

  6. Nov. 1954 – First GCSSEPM Papers (4) Presented on GCAGS Technical Program at Houston’s Rice Hotel Oct. 1956 – First Separate GCSSEPM Technical Session Held – (8 Papers) 1957 – E.H. “Rainey” Rainwater Appointed Chair of Type Locality Committee

  7. 1960 – 1963 Three Type Locality Units were Published – 54 Localities Dr. H. V. Andersen of LSU was the Editor and Publisher of all three units.

  8. 1961Charles W. Stuckey, Jr. Appointed General Chairman Field Trip Committee Charlie held this position for four years and was replaced by Dick Zingula

  9. 1965 – 1966 Formation of Houston and New Orleans Special Committees for Standardization of Foraminferal Ecological Zones in the Gulf Coast Basin HOUSTON COMMITTEE: Fred L.   11. 1966Results of Committees Published in the GCAGS Transactions These papers laid the foundation for modern paleoecological evaluations At the 1966 Lafayette GCAGS convention more than half of the technical program was focused on paleocology. These papers were presented in a “Symposium on Paleoecology” organized by James H. Dorman.

  15. 1981– GCSSEPM Foundation Established Bob F. Perkins conceived the idea and processed all IRS paperwork for creating the Foundation. He was named Executive Director and served both the Society and Foundation in this capacity until his death on April 11, 1999
