  2. “…pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16 “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains…” Col 4:2-3 1. Praying for others is Biblical !!!

  3. “Then Simon answered and said, Pray to the Lord for me…” Acts 8:24 “Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thess 5:25 “Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me…” Romans 15:30 1. Praying for Others is Biblical !!!

Job and his three Friends • “the Lord said to Eliphaz …, My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right…Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him…” Job 42:7-8 2. God Asks for Intercessions

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants…So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.” Exodus 32:7 2. God Asks for Intercessions

  7. “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7 3. The Saints know our condition !!!

  8. “Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.”Rev 8:3-4 3. The Saints know our condition !!!

  10. “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.‘ But Abraham said, `Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. “ Luke 16:24 -25 3. The Saints know our condition !!!

St. Peter knew what Anianus and Sapphira did • Acts 5:3-9 • St. Paul knew that savage wolves would come in among the Ephesians after he departed • Acts 20:29 • Elisha knew that Gehazi accepted the gifts of Naaman the Syrian • 2 Kings 5:25-27 • Samuel the Prophet knew who the first King of Isreal was to be. • 1 Samuel 9:17 3. The Saints know our condition !!!

  13. “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” John 11:25 “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Matthew 22:32 The Appearance of Moses and Elijah with the Lord Christ in the Transfiguration Mark 9:4 4. The Saints are not Dead, but Alive!!!

  16. 5. Christ the Only Mediator • “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…” 1 Tim 2:5-6

  17. “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” 1 John 2:1 5. Christ the Only Mediator

  18. 1. Praying for Others is Biblical !!! 2. God Asks for Intercessions !!! 3. The Saints know our condition !!! 4. The Saints are not Dead, but Alive!!! 5. Mediation of Christ is different than the Intercessions of the Saints !!! Summary
