  1. Science Lab Safety Rules: RULE # 49 • Always wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water before leaving the laboratory. • WHY? • Well, let’s see why.

  2. Materials: • lotion, glitter, bucket of water, hands

  3. Procedure: • Put about a nickel size dollop of lotion on your hands. • Sprinkle a dash of glitter on one hand then rub hands together.

  4. Procedure: • Go greet two other students at different tables and shake their hands.

  5. Procedure: • Stop. Look at your hands. What do you observe? ( after the lab answer this question on PG4 of your science journal)

  6. Procedure: • Go back to your table and rinse off your hands in the bucket of water. What happened? What do you observe? ( after the lab answer these question on PG4 of your science journal)

  7. Procedure: • Go wash with soap for 20 sec.
