  2. Introduction • About the writer _Tom Stoppard • born on July 3, 1937. • His family moved to Singapore in 1939 to escape the Nazis.

About this play • first staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1966 • two main characters : _minor characters from Hamlet _schoolmates and childhood friends of Hamlet • Story : • Focusing on their actions with the events of Hamlet as background. • important events are going on around them but who die without ever understanding them.

  5. The introduction in a website • Although the two people in the play are not much useful, the Prince quickly suspected them to be a spy. Then the King gave a secret order to murder Hamlet, who was away in the United Kingdom that time and hide his name. Then, the two characters died inexplicably behind the scene.

  6. Face book ! I could watch this every day and always find something new to love! • Now every time I see a version of Hamlet, my heart leaps up a little when Rosencrantz and Guildenstern first appear.

  8. As an outsider of the story? • usually being an insider when we see a movie or play • Almost every detail can be found on the screen Used to be an insider

  9. When we go outside • have no understanding about what really happened even until they die! • unclear and inexplicable
