DySPAN 2011 • May 3-6 2011, Aachen in Germany • As previous years technology, policy, and demonstration tracks • The scope of the conference is now expanded beyond DSA, and includes more specifically subjects of TCCN, cognitive radio networks, and also other advanced spectrum efficiency methods. • Also new blood in the organization committee: TPC and PPC chairs are new. • Planning is progressing as expected. • TPC meeting will be in January 2011 • Expected acceptance ratio for technical track ca. 25-30% • Full paper submission closed (this year firm deadline) • Note: • There will be forthcoming call for poster papers in the technical track • 5-6 pages max., • Posters will also have a short introduction talk (2-minutes madness) • Especially good for on-going high-quality work by graduate students

DySPAN 2011 • DySPAN 2011 will have increased amount of single-track plenary sessions, and time-slots where there are only two parallel sessions (policy vs. technology) • A number of high-level panels • A number of excellent keynote speakers; e.g. from the policy side we have already following confirmed speakers CTO of FCC (Doug Sicker), President of BNetzA, Chair of European Spectrum Regulation Unit. • Plan to have tutorials with heavily discounted fee for graduate students • Pending approval a travel grant scheme (NSF and EU) for selected graduate students • Also social program is beefed up: • Conference dinner is in the old crowning hall of German kings.
