G9 Overview • G9 Discovery hole 5 years ago, May 2005 • Construction started January 07 • First ore from the mine was reached on July 08 • Plant Commissioning started August 15th 09 • Commercial Production achieved April 1st 09 • 2,200 tonnes per day treated in March 10 • Part of Nyrstar starting on January 8th 11

  9. G-9 Overview • 420 full time employees • Project throughput 1,500 tpd with upside on the mine and mill capacity. Actual 1,700 tpd and goal 2,000 tpd • Underground mine with decline access. • Mining method is open stopping with delayed rock fill. • Flotation of Zinc, Copper and Lead Concentrates. • Power via 22 km line, Port for conc. Shipment 700 km. from site. Good road access .

G-9 Underground Mine • Mine access - two parallel decline ramps, approx 1.5 km to ore zones. • Mucking - 6 m3 LHD’s and 30 ton trucks. • Underhand Benching (UHB) with horizontal bench drilling • Primary stopes are developed with an initial 5m x 5m drive • Rib pillars and/or secondary stopes 5 to 8m wide • Stope heights of 12 to 17m (grade consideration) • Mine development is key to our success in accessing and maintaining several work areas, providing flexibility and grade blending.

  16. Process Plant • The plant was designed to treat 1,500 tpd producing three concentrates. Currently producing 2 concentrates with an average of 1,800 tpd going up to 2,000 tpd • Primary grind to a P80 of 35micron, • Bulk flotation rougher con is reground to 10 micron • Zinc rougher con is reground to 15 micron and cleaned in 4 stages.
