  3. LO. Setting description with prepositional openers • As Lucy stepped outside the wardrobe, she gasped in amazement. In front of her lay the most enchanting and beautiful land she had ever seen. Above her, spidery branches glistened with dagger-sharp icicles. Towering trees were laden with a thick coat of snow. In the distance, a lamp flickered with a golden glow, which lit up the surrounding blanket of snow.
