  1. Epolene® PolymerProduct Overview

  2. What is an Epolene Polymer? • Medium to low molecular weight polyethylene and polypropylene polymers • Produced in 4 operating units in Longview, TX • 3 basic types of polymers which are called C, E, and N-type polymers • Products supplied as free flowing pellets; powder form available for some products • Products packaged in 50 lbs bags; some alternative package sizes available

  3. Epolene Performance Attributes • Used as additives and polymer modifiers in diverse applications • Product attributes deliver : • Abrasion resistance • Moisture and grease resistance • Surface slip and release properties • Compatibility with other polymers, pigments, and fillers

  4. Types of Epolene Polymers Highly branched, medium molecular C-Type Coating Grade weight polyethylene polymers (C-16 & C-18 are chemically modified) Low molecular weight polyethylene, polymers (except N-15, which is polypropylene based) Nonemulsifiable N-Type Oxidized low molecular weight polyethylene polymers (except E-43, which is polypropylene based) E-Type Emulsifiable

  5. Chemical Processing of EpolenePolymers Polyethylene: C-Type Maleation C-16, C-18, C-19 E-10, E-14, E-16, E-20 Oxidation N-Type E-Type Polypropylene: Degradation N-15 PP E-43 and E-25 Maleation
