  1. How Long is the Season and what are the costs? There are two playing seasons per year. The spring season starts in Feb./March through May/June and the fall season from Aug./Sept. through November. Overall costs vary based on the age/level/division of the team and coach. The basic player fee range is $200 - $250 per season. There are additional costs that vary from team to team such as tournaments, uniforms, etc. Our fees are very similar to other travel soccer programs & organized youth sporting activities (i.e. AAU baseball, basketball; gymnastics, etc.). Hotspur Staff FASA is fortunate to have a staff of excellent and experienced soccer coaches. Our staff includes both National & State licensed coaches (USSF & NSCAA) that participate regularly in coaching clinics, seminars and instructional courses to enhance their soccer knowledge and coaching skills. We currently have coaches that are part of the Virginia Olympic Development Program (ODP) training staff - and we fully support and encourage our players to participate in the ODP program. Tryouts Tryouts are held twice per year. The dates, times & details for the upcoming tryouts are on the back of this flyer. If you have additional questions, please contact Hotspur Commissioner Wayne Zimmerman at 540.710.6633 or Director of Coaching Pete Cinalli at 540.785.9512 or 540.786.3203. Hotspur Philosophy and Commitment to our Community The Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association (FASA) is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of youth soccer. In addition to developing exceptional soccer skills, we believe the experiences our players gain helps them develop self confidence and is something that impacts them throughout their lifetime. The Hotspur “tradition” is to provide each player with the opportunity to play at various levels of competitive soccer - locally, state wide, even nationally. Our goal is to help each player achieve constant improvement and develop excellent individual & team skills. The Hotspur club is committed to making every players experience a positive one, and developing them in a positive teaching environment. We want to help our players achieve their individual GOALS! Who Can Participate? Any boy or girl between the ages of 8 & 19 (see birth date breakdowns on the back page for details). Hotspur Affiliations FASA is a member of the Richmond Metropolitan Youth Soccer League (RMYSL), Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA). Where are the Games Played? Hotspur league games are played primarily in Fredericksburg & Richmond. Depending on the age & division level, some games are played in other parts of the state (i.e. Charlottesville, etc.). There are many levels / divisions of competitive play (Premiere, A, B, C) - which allows players of ALL interest and skill levels to find a home in the Hotspur program! There are also Tournaments (in state & out of state) and other special events (such as State Cup) that Hotspur teams can participate in. www.hotspurs.org
