  1. Using CushyCMS for Baylor AITP Website Updates Steven Follis

  2. CushyCMS is a very simple, lightweight Content Management System. It should work well for tweaks and updates of information found on the Baylor AITP website. People who need to update information now do not need to know HTML but only need to use a friendly text editor through a browser window. If this is not as feasible as I am thinking that it will be please let me know.

  3. 1. Login @ Homepage www.cushycms.com

  4. Control Panel “baylor-aitp.org” is the site. Underneath are all pages arranged hierarchically. Since the AITP site only has one page, only 1 is shown (“Homepage”). Click “Homepage” to edit

  5. Each editable region from the website is divided into these boxes. The text within them correspond to the live website.

  6. Make changes by clicking in the box and change necessary text. While there are numerous formatting options at the top (that look very similar to MS Word) please refrain from doing anything other than an occasional italics/bond. Style is handled through external stylesheets and changes here will mess things up. Please just edit text. Thanks!

  7. To Save Changes:Simply scroll to the very bottom of the page and click “Publish Page.” When this button is pressed the changes will immediately be updated on the live website, so please be careful! There is no draft functionality and no ability to “undo” a publish. It goes live.

  8. To Edit a Hyperlink: -Highlight an existing link -Right click and select “Edit Link” -Tweak the necessary URL Email links can also be used with the “Link Type” dropdown box.

  9. The system should be pretty straightforward. Again, please only tweak content (words, sentences, etc) and not worry about colors, spacing, fonts, etc. I can add as many “editors” as we need via email addresses. For any help: Steven Follis Steven_follis@baylor.edu 417-880-9618
