  1. Concept Media/evtl. Sponsoring 1

  2. Objective 1/2 • Make CO known in the Romandie • Make Scool known in the Canton Geneva • Target public • Schools • Parents • Kids • Sport "enthousiast • Politicians

  3. Objective 2/2 • Attract non orienteer(ors) as spectactors to the Post Finance sprint in geneva (maybe St-Cergue) • Increase the numbers of participants to the CO CERN Spring/Autumn cup • Become a supported sport by the education department of the Canton Geneva?

  4. First step – increase Visibility • Orienteering is not that visible in the Romandie • As a first step we need to make some public relation of general nature for the sport • Tribune de Genève (dossier complet) • TSR – regional news • Interview of Lennart with Léman Bleu • In combination with the first sCool events

  5. Second step – attract sponsors • Once we have some media coverage from Scool we will be able to attract sponsors • Ideas • Migros bag – are you lost? No GPS etc? • BCGE (check with Postfinance) • SIG • Course d'escalade (check with their sponsors) • SOLV (check with their sponsors)

  6. Third step political buy-in • C. Beer and M.Tornare should be approached at a certain moment in order to get their support (maybe only for a few lines on the website or the official program) • Maybe a special political orienteering meeting could be organised (if possible with media coverage)

  7. 4th Step – Media coverage of NAT and World Cup • This needs to be closely coordinated with SOLV and Postfinance sprint • Local news (léman bleu e.g. – for the training with the Stars and the kids ahead of the WC)

  8. Risks • Nobody cares • No sponsoring • Difficult message to be passed • No real buy-in from authorities

  9. Tools • Try to use the network of the Course d'Escalade • Marathon of Geneva • Swiss Olympics • SOLV – IOF • Personal contacts with potential sponsors, media and politicians

  10. Scool – TdG • As soon as we have a first date for the first sCool event – TdG will make an article • Content • What is orienteering • What is the aim (increase visibility) • What are the events planned • What is sCool • How does it work • History • Events to come
