  1. The Pros and Cons of Hiring a Virtual Assistant

  2. The time may come in your real-estate career that you may need to consider hiring an assistant. This can be a lengthy process that takes time and energy to get right but may be necessary to the growth of your brand.

  3. The good news is there are more than one option on what type of assistant available. While having an assistant may be necessary the traditional assistant may not be right for you.

  4. A virtual assistant is an assistant that maintains contact through the internet verses in person. Meaning that the virtual assistant handles tasks that can be delegated over the web, and through electronic means.

  5. The virtual assistant often lives in other cities or countries, and works a certain amount of hours handling tasks that can be done from far away. This could mean handling social media campaigns, interacting with prospective clients through e-mail, sending letters, handling scheduling, and many more.

  6. While this may be ideal for someone who is looking for help, knowing where to find a virtual assistant can be hard. Virtual assistants can be found primarily on the web through freelance work sites.

  7. I can take a while to find someone who fits your criteria, but there are qualified people who are willing to work for reasonable prices.Thepros for hiring a virtual assistant are that they are cost effective, work can be stress free, and have less commitment than an assistant that works with you in person.

  8. Virtual assistants can be very cost effective. By finding the right websites to connect potential workers with people who are hiring a good working relationship can be forged. Work can also be much more stress free than having to deal with training someone in person. People who work online are typically more independent and need less hands on supervision.

  9. This can be great for the real-estate worker who has a number of menial tasks that need to be done. Another positive part of having a virtual assistant is that there is less commitment. A simple contract can be drawn for a short period of time to see if the working relationship will work. If it does a longer contract of work can be drawn up.

  10. The cons to hiring a virtual assistant are finding someone you can trust can be hard, there is a chance they could provide poor work, and there is less assurance that you will be able to contact them when you need to.

  11. Finding someone to provide quality work can be hard regardless, but finding a virtual assistant online can be daunting. Some tips to find a reliable virtual assistant can be found on sites like freelancer.com where a record of previous experiences with clients are recorded.

  12. Another chance that could be had with hiring a virtual assistant is that there is a chance they could provide sloppy work. The assurance had in meeting someone face to face isn’t there.

  13. The third chance that could be taken in hiring someone online is that communication could be hard. Hiring someone online could mean different time zones, and an overall limiting of contact.

  14. Hiring a virtual assistant can work for some people and not for others. Hiring a virtual assistant can be a good tool for people who have a specific set of requirements that can be met with an online secretary.
