  5. DToC Update: Revised Targets • Issued in October 2008 as Ministerial Letter (EH/ML/019/08) • three year approach to reductions • Back to total days delayed • 40% reduction required by March 2009 census, 30% in 2009/10 and 2010/11

  6. Additional Requirements/Next Steps • Reflects WAO, WIHSC and AC recommendations • Minister’s Letter • Named executive Leads in each organisation, accountable for performance • Risks to independence identified and addressed • Profiling, focusing resources, proactive management

  7. Next Steps – meetings • Better balance between numerical targets and clinical governance • Choice project • Timescales/database review
