What I Learned in Midland What I learned is… • That everyone should have relationships and friends & family involved in their life, • That everyone should have reliable support to help them, • That everyone should have control in what they do, where they live and how they spend their money, and, • That everyone should have the opportunity to give back to their community.
What I Learned in Midland What I learned is… • To listen to others and hear what they have to say, • That it is about taking control of our lives and our resources, And, • People should have a great life, keep that life and move forward to spread the word of Self-Determination!
Next Steps in Washtenaw County I want to do presentations for: • Local schools, especially the school I graduated from • Association for Community Advocacy • CSTS (Community Mental Health) • Intentional Communities of Washtenaw • American Idol Group • PAC of Ann Arbor
What I want in my Life • Currently, I live in a Co-op on the U of M campus, but I would like to live in my own apartment in Ann Arbor some day. • I would like to get my black belt in Karate (right now I have a brown belt) • I would like to work in Ann Arbor • I would like to finish my book about my life and sell it at conferences; I just need a good Editor. • I would like to continue to give presentations and participate in the groups and boards I am working with right now. • I would like to help people get the life that they want and spread the word of Self-Determination!!
