  2. WE COME TO GOD IN PRAYER Alleluia! The Spirit of the Lord fills the world. Come, let us worship him. Alleluia! Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

  3. WE PRAY PSALM 68 May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God. Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing. Come, Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life.

  4. When you, God, went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain. You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. Come, Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life.

  5. When you ascended on high, you took many captives; you received gifts from people. You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Come, Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life.

  6. GOD SPEAKS TO US Come, Holy Spirit. Fill the hearts of your faithful people and kindle in them the fire of your love.

  10. WE PRAY FOR OURSELVES AND THE WORLD Come, Holy Spirit: the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of sound judgment and courage, the Spirit of knowledge, holiness, and reverence for the Lord: Holy Spirit, come and help us.

  11. As you proceed from the Father and the Son; as you worked when the world was created; as you inspired the prophets; as you came upon the mother of our Lord at his incarnation; as you descended on our Lord at his baptism; as you rested on the apostles at Pentecost: Holy Spirit, come and help us.

  12. Shine your light and love into our hearts; teach us to pray, and pray within us; lead us into all truth; give your unity to the church: Holy Spirit, come and help us.

  14. Spirit of the living God, breathe into our lives. Renew and transform us, so that we faithfully serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

  16. GOD BLESSES US May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope. And the blessing of almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be with us always. Amen.
