  9. 2. Rebellion in Heaven The story of Lucifer’s fall is described in two key chapters—Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. Lucifer before his rebellion, was a high and exalted angel. Lucifer and his sympathizers were striving to reform the government of God. Then there was war in heaven. The loyal angels prevailed; and Lucifer and his sympathizers were expelled from heaven. 1. Genesis 3 is the background of the rest of the Bible. The Promise to Abraham (Genesis12:1–3, 7). The Birth of the Nation of Israel through Abraham (Genesis 15:1-2; cf. 12:1-3). The Kingdom of Heaven The kingdom will be culminated with the coming of the Lord - When Jesus delivers the kingdom to God - 1Corinthians 15:24 It will be the new heavens and new earth described in 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:3 It will be experienced only by those in the church who are submitting to God's will - Matthew 7:21-23, 2 Peter 3:13-15a John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 1.
