  13. Investments

  14. Metro-railway– Investments Brazil is struggling on the expansion of the metro-railway network over the next six years 29 projectsare well-advanced, many being contracted or already running. They include584,2 kmof MetropolitanLines, LRT’s, Monorails, and Regional and MetropolitanTrains.

  15. Projects inExecution – Scenario 2020 Considering the PPP contracted projects and the ones already running, Brazil will, by 2020, have 29 projects completed in the sector of rail transportation for passengers. Fortaleza´s metro East Line Fortaleza´s LTR Sobral´s LTR Recife´s metro - expansion Salvador´s metro – Lines 1 and 2 Metro Line 4 – expansion Metro Line 5 – expansion Metro Line 6 – PPP Urban Train Line 7 – expansion Urban Train Line 8 – expansion Urban Train Line 9 – expansion Urban Train Line 10 – expansion Urban Train Line 11 – expansion Urban Train Line 12 – expansion Urban Train Line 13 Monorail Line 15 Monorail Line 17 Monorail Line 18 - PPP LTR Santos/São Vicente Cuiaba´s LTR Rio´s LTR – 6 lines Rio de Janeiro´s Line 4 Goiania´s LTR

  16. Metrorail – Investiments In addition to the projects that are already running, Brazil has a portfolio of over 25 projects of rail systems. There are around 2.700 km of lines, which could quadruplicate the current Brazilian rail network for passengers.

  17. Investiments – Scenario2020 Projects with potential hiring until 2020 Manaus´ Monorail Regional Train Teresina - Codó Natal´s LTR Recife´s LTR Maceió´s LTR – expansion and new line Brasília´s LTR Metro – Expansion Regional Train Brasília – Goiânia Regional Train Brasília - Luziânia Regional Trains Metro Line 2 Metro Line 3 Urban Train Eldorado/Belvedere Curitiba´s metro Regional Train Maringa/Londrina Metro Line 3 High Speed Train Rio-São Paulo Porto Alegre´s metro Canoas´Aeromovel Regional Train Caxias do Sul/Bento Gonçalves Regiona Train Pelotas – Rio Grande Intercity Trains Metro Line 2 – Expansion Metro Line 20

  18. Scenario of Mobility - Investments Despite the large volume of investments, the population’s needs are not met and the expansion growth rate does not even keep the demand growth, regardless the existence of several projects, which are not completed yet. There is still need for more investments for the expansion of the railway systems, increase of the rolling stocks and the rebuilt of the existent. We still wait for the selection of the projects within PAC Medium Cities, hoping that projects on rail have been granted to be implemented in several cities.

  19. Social and Urban Legacy The major legacy for the cities is essentially the infrastructure of mobility, that will be used by the whole population during decades. For this reason, the National Association of Transporters of Passengers on Rail (ANPTrilhos), working in an integrated manner with entities, system operators and the metro-rail industry, defends, as central point, the amplification of investment in the sector.
